The land of Amirand and its neighbors are charted on a series of digital maps I’ve made, separate and more detailed from the hand-drawn maps included in the published books. While I’m writing, these maps serve as a valuable–nay, essential–tool for recording the geography of Beautiful War, and I make lots of little edits as I add in roads and towns and so forth. For your viewing convenience, and for lack of a better place to put them, I present to you the relevant maps for the published Beautiful War books. I likely won’t edit the maps present here, but I will add new maps as further books in the series are published.
The images here are reduced in size to fit your browser. The full-size images are too mighty for my feeble website to handle, so I’ve hosted them separately. Under each map, you can find a link to the full-size image.
Belloum, the continent on which The Waste takes place
Amirand, the country in which The Waste takes place
And as an added treat, here are the maps included in the published book The Waste, before they were shrunk and rendered in black and white. These were hand-drawn, then scanned and digitally edited.
